Does anybody know if the this new Pioneer flagship amp has a lip sync delay feature ?
Hi there. I read on some American site that you can't set a global delay for the speakers. Someone suggested that you can set a false distance up for each speaker which might give you up to 45ms delay. I haven't seen anyone confirming that this works though.
I was very keen on this unit until I discovered that it does not have the sort of "Audio Delay" required to resolve lip sync problems. A number of people (incuding one dealer) suggested the false distance solution but to be honest I am not convinced.
I could be (probably I am) completely ignorant of the issues here, but why would you want an audio delay feature? I suppose if you had an old Sony/Pioneer DVD player where they displayed lip-synch problems you might want to use it, but what other reason is there? My system sounds and works fine without this audio delay feature, but am I missing the point?
I am using a projector and an ISCAN PRO line doubler. Because of the processing involved the video is slightly delayed relative to the audio. A number of amps (Denon and Onkyo) have an audio delay feature in order to resolve this problem.
What Im Interested in is MCACC auto set up, Something that should be an all amps. Although Im not willing to pay £2700 for it .
But If it was on a £2000 amp I'd be looking to buy it.
I've seen this amp for £2300. Anyone seen better?
Where was it for sale for £2,300.
You'll be lucky for stock. Pioneer is out until May now.
Its at http://www.homecinemaheaven.co.uk. They said they had stock when I phoned them last week.
Anyone had a blast of this amp yet?
Yep Global Hi Fi in Newcastle has it in. Very good, but i will wait for the discounting to begin before buying, should get it for £1200 soon knowing Pioneer products.
Yeap, but I wouldn`t buy one personally, my money at this price would be put towards a Tag or Arcams forthcoming AV8/PM7 combi
