Can anyone advise where to purchase a 5 meter pioneer HDMI (system) cable for a PDP43FDE plasma. The cable has two connectors (white & black). I have been quoted £385.00 + delivery!!
    Thanks

    a 10m normal replacement is £250
if that is an upgraded cable it may be worth considering!
It seems like the supplied 3m should be about £100 but couldn't find a 5m pioneer don't seem to offer one!

    Hello jan3826

The Media Box to Screen cable is in fact two cables which are (in the Pioneer configuration) formed as one cable.

The command, control and audio signals travel down a 20pin cable and the Digital Video travels down a relatively straightforward DVI cable.

As bobbypunk says Pioneer have a 10m 'replacement' cable - which retails for just over £200.00 (there is also a Sharp equivalent).

Up until recently WireWorld were about the only other option in the UK - they have 'Upgrade kits' using their three levels of DVI cables; Chroma (5m max), Ultraviolet (10m max) and Starlight5 (15m max).

UK dealers who supply BetterCables Display Magic DVI cables can now also provide 'upgrade' cable kits for Pioneer XDE and FDE owners in 5, 8, 12 and 15m lengths. The UK SRP on the BetterCables 5m cable set is £210.00.

    Best regards

    Joe

PS Be aware not all DVI cables work in the Pioneer FDE/XDE set-up - a lot of DVI cables seem to be incompatible with the Media Box.

You could consider the Sharp media box cable as it is compatible. They do a 7m cable for around £115 IIRC.
