I love the look of the Pioneer speaker packages S-V410 and S-V610 but can’t find out much about them. Anybody got these ?

Do they perform as well as comparable KEF etc set-ups ? eg KEF 2005 versus S-V610 ?

I would be grateful for any info.

Not even in the same league, same goes for nearly all packages from the likes of SONY, Pioneer, Yamaha etc.
An earlier model review (610) came back with,
"Sound is fair but unexceptional, and not recommended for music – especially multichannel. Still, this is great value if you want a B&O-style setup for home cinema"

Have to totally agree with them, I know it's in the eye of the beholder but good grief they do look TACK.

If you want quality then look at the following for starters.

    Thanks Andy.

I am moving house soon and am starting from scratch. It is the usual compromise between what I would like and what the wife will accept.

Then sell her this concept of modern living http://www.acoustic-energy.co.uk/Product_range/Aego_series/Aego_T.asp these ARE VERY good sounding speakers, very small (check out dimensions) so wife friendly, and look and feel very good in piano black or white.
Another wife pleasing product where the Mordaunt Shorts which are exceptional value for money from Peter Tyson due to the cable bundle. Again very small speakers(check out dimensions) http://www.mordauntshort.com/content.php?COID=25 , a friend of mine has these and they do sound very good, just check out this site and search for Mordaunt Short Premiere.
