Pioneer SD-M1407 rear projection monitor

    Yes i know it's not exactly "state of the art" but i've had this tv for quite some time and grown quite attached to it.

    My question to this forum is as follows:

    can this monitor be modified to improve picture performance?

    I've been interested in AV for around 10 years as my modest AV system will attest,

    Denon AVC2800 Amp (modified for 5.1 dolby by videotec in 97)

    Pioneer DV525 dvd player

    Pioneer SLD2950 laserdisc player (also videotec modified for dolby 5.1 output in 97)

    Pioneer SD-M1407 rear projection monitor (obviously)

    Mission 733 front, rear and centre speakers (in dire need of replacement)

    Yamaha YST-SW60 sub woofer

    I'm afraid this length of interest hasn't really increased my knowledge of the subject as my brain has informational adhesive qualities of butter!!!
