Hello!

I m thinking of buying one of the following AV receivers..
Pioneer SC-LX82
Denon AVR-4310
Onkyo TX-NR5007
does anyone has any experience with this receivers..?

I m interesting more about the performance for both music and movies.networking and connectivity doesn't count much for me..

Assuming that all those models has the same price £2000, which is overall better?

I heard that Pioneer is more powerful for movies and Denon is better for music..i don't know anything about Onkyo..any thoughts and suggestions is more than welcome..:hiya:

What else are you pairing it with? The Pioneer does have great amps but is often described as having a clinical sound not everyone likes this. Arcam's AVR 500 might also be worth considering when it arrives although this will be just over the £2000 limit I'm sure the audio preformance will be great.

Im thinking of this teufels or the B&W 683 Theater
the Budget for 5.1 speakers is £2500-£3000.
if you have any other brand to recommend i will be very glad to hear!

ps I also read very good comments about Kef iQ-90 and Klipsch rf-83
also i forget to mention that the dedicate room that i rent is small (5m x 3m and 3m height) but at the next months maybe i rent a bigger room..
cheers

Depends on How much music you'll be listening to but if music is important I would be inclined to look a a set with floorstanders like the B & W's as has been mentioned you'll need to go have a listen to an option or two.

Thanks for the reply, but from the 2 Av receivers which one is more musical?

Denon's are usually described as more musical than pioneers but that still depends on what sort of sound you prefer you might not like the more relaxed sound from a Denon.

Im kinda hoping you get the Teufels :) I would be very interested in how you find the brand. Sorry to be spending your money for you :) but they offer 8 weeks in home trial dont they? crazy how can you go wrong?

Hope if you do you report back please.

EDIT : then when you have the Teufel's at home get a local dealer to lend you some B&Ws and you have both side by side to compare. How can you loose?

Hi

I have purchased the Pioneer and it is a fantastic buy. I play both vinyl and Ipod using it and canno fault the quality of the amp. Movies sound great and set up is very easy too and it looks fantastic.

I would check out the reviews online and try and get a test if you are unsure and also have good set of pair speakers to pair up with it too.

Is it quite a "bright" sounding amp though? In comparison to say a Denon?

I was considering a Denon 4310 or LX82. I bought the LX82 in the end. My supplier had just been on a Denon installer course and, in his opinion, the 4310 sounds quite unexciting. Not really what you want in an AV amp. He said the LX82 was a better bet. He's always been on the money in the past so I bought one.

I've only had it a few days. I also have a Pioneer BD with PQLS. I was very impressed by the CD sound it produces. It is warm and full bodied with plenty of detail. I have not compared it with my HiFi yet, but I think it will compare well.

Film wise it's also very good. i've carried out the basic set up and it does very well. There are so many options that it will take me a while to come to a conclusion though.

Regards,
S
