Hi All,
My lx81 has developed a problem so looking for some guidance before the wallet has to come out!
Working fine for months (only used at weekends for blu-rays and occasional tv), then during a movie at some loud action moment there was a crack through speakers like a 'spike' and then amp immediately shuts down along with all connected components.
Powers back on but can't get audio from left channel - all other channels are OK. Changed wire, tried a different speaker - no joy. Headphones give stereo sound.
If I disconnect every other channel then press my ear to speaker there is no noise then an extremely quiet signal noise is delivered to the speaker at the first register at -80db. It's just a dull tone that does not get any louder when the volume is increased.
Just wondering if there are any fused protection boards in this amp or is this a definite circuit board repair/replacement issue.
Can't find any previous post with his particular problem so any replies/advice would be thankfully received.
If a repair is required can anyone recommend a good Pio repairer in West Yorkshire. Regards Nick (Huddersfield)
