I have my Pioneer SC-LX81 set up for satellite speakers & sub, ie. small all round and SW.

Its been like this for a few years, but currently trying a different configuration and I am a bit rusty !

Running the re-calibration, it is selecting large for front left & right, small for the centre. SW is automatically selected.

If I then manually change the fronts L&R to small, it removes the SW and I cannot add this back in.

Am I missing something obvious here, pls feel free to point something out!

I wish to run all speakers as small with sub. The speakers I am trying are standmounts.

    Thanks :)

If you set all speakers to small then the sub has to be set to on as default since by setting to small you are taking some of the bass away from the speakers.

When in the speaker size screen (manual mode), once I change from large to small for L&R, the sub greys out. If I select large again, sub appears !

Can't see a way to override the sub setting!

I assume it greys out because the option to have the sub on or off is removed when setting all speakers to small. If all speakers are set to small then the sub has to be on so it may grey it out to remove the choice. When you run the system or autosetup does the sub still play or does it produce no sound?
