    Hello everyone.

I didn't post any new messages since I just bought my new PIONEER av receiver. I switched SC-LX 75 for SC-LX 77. There's few really useful improvements in the matter of functionality and sound. It looks that engineers have learned on previous models what was not exactly refined now it's almost done in 99%. I found one issue which is maybe not exactly important, but I'm curious about this. The same thing I have observed in my previous SC-LX 75 model. It's a question to all SC-LX x5 - x7 users. What's all about. I have PIONEER Blu Ray BDP-450 connected to SC-LX 77 via HDMI 1.4 to the input BR. Video conversion in receiver is set to OFF because I don't need double it with BR settings. Soooo when I have picture on my plasma screen ( set 1080p/24) from BR player picture is transmitted via AV RECEIVER HDMI monitor output set as factory 1080p/50 - this is normal and if BR signal goes thru this picture is set automatically as 1080p/24, but if I switch AV RECEIVER's ON SCREEN MENU ( on the same input BR ) picture is automatically converted on 576i which give me not so sharp and clear receiver menu on the screen. Funny because I just switch input in receiver on ( each other as BR ) AV RECEIVER's ON SCREEN MENU appears on plasma properly as 1080p/50 just as it's set in factory monitor output. I'm curious why is it happening. Is this normal or I missed something in settings. I tried to find solution in instruction manual, but without a result. Let me know if someone have observed same issue.

Second thing is...AV Icontrol 2013 app on Android. Did anybody noticed that in STATUS VIEWER DTS-HD MASTER 7.1 is shown as 5.1? It don't recognize native sound decoding from the source in DTS-HD MSTR 7.1 discrete channels and show just as 5.1. Am I right or maybe again something's wrong with my device or settings? ;).

Thank you in advance for any messages and observations.

    Best regards
    Michał

I do not have your amp or player but try setting the output resolution to source/pure on both player & amp but i suspect its the default resolution for the amps menu.

    Hello,
I made it exactly as you told, but unfortunately, it does not give any effect. Funny thing. I'm not fresh-layman in HI-FI or Home Cinema and I have considerable experience since before 2000 and don't had any problems before. Soooo I decided to reset all settings to fabric and it worked. Maybe there's some kind of "memory" in HDMI settings when you turn on whole system for the first time. Maybe I have had some settings downgraded to 576i...anyway. Now it's working properly. Thanks for any advice and attention.

    Cheers
    Michal

Glad your sorted, on my LX83 the menu resolution is definitely controlled by turning V.Conv on & setting resolution to what you want although it seems pure only sets its to 576i Hz & Auto will bounce it up to 1080p 50Hz.

Does it have an impact on the MCACC measurement when the speaker was connected wrong?
So the + and - polarity were reversed.

Most if not all AVreceivers will report an error during calibration if they detect speakers are wired out of phase.
