    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me as to which of these speaker systems is the best. Either will be connected to a pioneer vsxd814 a/v receiver. Ive been led to believe that the panasonic set has the edge because its frequency response is identical for its front and rear speakers which is important for dvd-audio?!?

Can anyone point me in the right direction or advise on alternatives to these speakers, both retail for around £500 to £600.

    Thanks.

    Hi Worm,
when I asked that question I was putting together my first 'real' home cinema system. I was advised by a number of specialist audio centres that I should infact ignore both options and go for tried and tested speakers from a specialist manufacturer. I ended up with the Acoustic Energy Evo 3B home cinema set, which I must say are terrific, even if slightly more expensive at around 750-850 online (approx 900 in shops)!
Hope that helps, or at least gives you something to think about!!

    Cheers.

Thanks for the reply.. Have heard the Panasonic ones and they sounded superb and I reckon with my Yamaha 757 receiver should be even better.

Seen prices from 460-735 but yesterday ordered them from Peter Tyson for £260 incl delivery.. Well good bargain!!
