Hi all
I intend to buy a cheap second-hand subwoofer.
My only choice is the two models:

Pioneer S-RS3SW
Driver = 12"
Output Power = 200 w (RMS, 100kHz, THD 10%) - 330 w (Peak)
Frequency Response = 27 Hz - 1 kHz
Crossover Frequency = 40 - 140Hz

Yamaha YST-SW160
Drivers = 2 x 8"
Nominal Output Power = 150 w
Frequency Response = 20 Hz - 160 Hz
Crossover Frequency = 40 Hz - 140Hz

(Specifications are according to constructive information)

My use:
Movie = 80%
Music = 20%
Volume and sound quality, both are important to me.

Thanks for your answers.

Pioneer should be better for movies.

Quite largish cabinet and 12" driver with dual ports. Pioneer has used big names designing their speakers in past so hopefully this is decent one. If it`s used make sure you don´t overpay as people sometimes ask silly prices for museum aged products. Make sure you try the sub in few places in your room as small changes can make difference. You can example do "subwoofer crawl", check youtube video how it`s done. In front corner it will sound loudest and give you the most oomph, but it can also sound bit boomy so in that case little bit more toward front speakers could be more balanced (1/4 front wall width). Try it out!
