I have just sent of my Pioneer (PDP503HDE) plasma to be repaired and was wondering if any Pioneer owners have had a similar problem.

After a couple of hours of use some of the pixels start to display the wrong colours. For instance, skin tones become yellow and dark blues become light blues, it doesn't seem to effect reds.

It recovers overnight and works OK for a couple of hours.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers

Sometimes (rarely) electronic components don't go bust completely but develop thermal related problems.
This means, when cold (at room temp) they work fine. When hot the develop unexpected behavior.
It's probably a part that doesn't run hot on it's own but is mounted is an area where the surrounding air heats it up. It is therefore that it takes a couple of hours instead of maybe 10-30 min.

    Am I boring you? :boring:
