Pioneer problem. Hoo hum.

Hmmmm..

I am getting a lot of disc's freezing at what seem's to be the layer change.Around the 60 minute mark.
I can hear clunks from in side the machine.Any idea what that can be,and even better still how to fix it.

I must confess.I do leave my player on pause for hours on end.If i fall asleep watching late at night,i would probably pause it and start again in the morning ish.
Could this cause problems.

what player is it, how old?

Im sure you probaly worn out the drive mech. disc still spins when pause is applied
