the old 43 and 50 inch model looked beautiful.

now i actually have enough to buy one, the newest models look much worse than the previous generation.

do the photos just not do them justice?

where can i get hold of an older screen?

comments and experience appreciated.

I agree with you that the design wise the 436 looks less nice then the 435.

I think rubberducker may be referring to the NEW 426SXE or 436RXE compared to the 436XDE/FDE.........

If he is.....I agree will him.....
but then I am bias...........;)

I agree with you Reaperman . The new RXE/SXE are just following the market trends for all in one units .Not as nice as the XDE/FDE screens, plus if you already have an existing surround system then there is no need for the speakers on the unit also the connectivity i think is easier no need for ugly cables everywhere if you are wall mounting the unit .
but like yourself i`m a bit biased.

But if you want the speakers for ordinary TV and only use surround sound for DVD etc then the new SXE/RXE looks far better than the old XDE speakers that look like an after thought tacked on each side or under mounted. the new models look as though the speakers are meant to be there as they are all moulded in with the screen, :) much neater looking, but then I have just bought a SXE and I would say that wouldn't I.....;)
