hi, i'm new here. I have a chance to get a used 50" Pioneer PDP-502MX for $3500, should I get it? the tv is only slightly used (not refurbished) and in great condition as far as i know. However, there's no remote, speakers or manual.

Some more info on this model:

    some more info from him

    Hello,

No, that one I've been using for over a year from a previous removal and it
still works great. I'll put some new pictures up tonight or tomorrow.
    That's a good idea!

I don't have a remote, but you can use any universal remote with the Pioneer
tv codes or just use the side of the monitor to navigate. The manual is
available online at the link I provided. I do have a wall mount but it's
quite heavy and we would have to work something on price if you want this
shipped. It would be free if I can meet you halfway.

You'll need 3 BNC to RCA connections for the Blue, Red & Green connections
to get the best picture and you'll need a cable receiver with HD or Sat box
    with same.

Those were good questions and I'd like to add your questions to my listing.
Can you please pose these questions through the "ask seller a question" on
the auction so I can let other people know? BTW, how did you get my email
address if you didn't use that?

you mention the price as $3500.....so the screen is to be shipped from the US??

In that case I would not consider buying it for a number of reasons, a few of them as below:

    1) To buy this kind of product sight unseen is quite risky

    2) Have you considered shipping charges and customs and VAT??

    3) Voltage differences(the least of your problems, but it all adds up)

Sounds to me like your thinking of buying from eBay

All I can say is that if your not picking up yourself and see it working before handing over the cash then stay well away :nono:

Also...it's a couple of generations old now, Pioneer released the 503MXE and then the current 50MXE1 after that model so it's not such a bargain anyway...the new 50MXE1 can be had for around £3350 brand new with warranty.

    Cheers, Lee

I assume your are based in USA and although I am not aware of US prices my gut feel is that it is too high for such an old model.

What sources are you planning on using?

    A PDP-502MXE is possibly 2000 or 2001 vintage!

    Best regards

    Joe
