Does anyone know what sort of cable / connectors Pioneer use for the *CONTROL* cable that runs between the Media box and their plasma panels? A friend has bought the 10m cableset from Pioneer so that he can locate his media box in his AV rack but after routing the cable it is about 4ft too short - we have tried extending the DVI cable by 2m with an extension lead and that seems to work OK but we can't work out what connector is used for the control cable to try to find a suitable extension for that.

    Can anyone help?

The official (but expensive) answer is pioneer's 30m optical connection system!
I'm fairly sure that the lead you're reffering to is a special pioneer lead!

Yeah - we're trying to avoid the 30m optical lead - it's almost a grand and seems an awful waste given that we're only about 4ft short. :)

Someone in the Plasmas forum came up with a suggestion and from that I've been able to find 12, 15 and 20metre MDB control cables - hopefully one of those will do the job.
