Beatifully clean and unintrusive, YID. A complete contrast to my system which is very much wires, cables and tons of kit - the outcome of having no gun to my head and an obsession with constantly trying alternative bits.
Fraid its not a pio but can i play anyway ?
Here's my pic. Bit dark, Im afraid and doesnt show side or back speakers.

I am hoping to mount my panny PV500 over my fireplace, when I move house, and when I get my plasma....
How far do you sit away, and what cables do you recommend?

YID - where do you live? Fancy coming by and giving me a hand with mine, when I get it haha?! Wonderful job mate - you've even managed to hide all the wires running to the screen! Truly professional job mate - well done! I am insanely jealous!

I have a wonderful landscape to mount my plasma, but due to plasterboard, and total lack of skills, I am sure I will totally bodge it up, and end up dumping it on the floor, leaning on the wall! LOL!!! I'll post my pics of HOW NOT TO MOUNT A PLASMA when I get it!)

Then we'll see what the Wife says!!! Yikes!

    Have you got any tips:

How did you hid the cables, trunking?
What length cables did you need? 3m? Mine should be a similar length.
    Have you any 'construction' photos?

Any more tips for us novices would be greatly appreciated...

    1. I used a kangol to channel the wires and then put metal trunking (very important that you do this) to cover all the wires as cement and plaster eats through the plastic sleeving over time. Then just plastered over. Please make sure that you do a drawing of were you have chased the wires, as when it's time to start drilling holes for the bracket, that you don't drill through them.

    2. I had to buy the 10m System Cable (PDA H03) as the 3m was not long enough

    3. Regretfully did not take any photo's.

What did you use to cover the cables linking the plasma and the media box/power cable and where did you get it?

    Thank you in advance

    Hi Retro21
2 pieces of fibre board, the rear piece 64x20x1cm,front 60x13x1cm.2 lengths dowelling 3.5cm radius, ninety degree arc,60 cm long for the sides and 3 pieces cheap softwood 58x2.5x1cm to create the internal channels for the cabling.Glued/screwed together, mounted on wall and wallpapered to match wall.Total cost £7.08! The flash/bright sunlight picks it out,in normal lighting it's barely visible.I wasn't keen on channeling even though that wall had just been replastered-its 200 years old and aside from the fact I may want to change the cables, having seen the original brickwork I just couldn't bring myself to vandalise an old wall
