What do you mean by you have the pioneer HDMI unit also ???
Am i right in thinking you mean the pioneer plasma ext media tuner box which came with your pioneer plasma..

Which model pioneer plasma do you have ???????

You have made a mistake with the name of the cable your using for your xbox360..As it is not possible to get a HDMI cable for the xbox360..
The xbox360 has no HDMI output..

The following cables are avilable for the xbox360

(1) Component HD AV Cable
(2) Advanced SCART AV Cable
(3) VGA HD AV Cable

(4) And i think there a S.Video one out as well..

Have you adjusted the settings i your xbox? I had this problem, you cant just switch the swtich on the cable the HD and get it to work. Cant remember what I did now but search google for an XBOX faq and it will tell you how to sort it. Good luck
