Just starting in to this whole HTPC as it seems the best way to view all my stored video and music.

I need to connect the new HTPC to an older pioneer plasma the model is a
434hde with seperate media box, it has HDMI and (Dsub which i have tested with a laptop. no problems) i would be looking to use a motherboard that has hdmi output to connect to the plasma but i am unsure as to wether the plasma will allow me to do this. The plasma supports 720p & 1080i

Any help on this before i purchase would be a great help.

Ps i am holding off on my purchase a little longer as the new nforce 9300/9400 motherboards look intresting as they support full bitrate 7.1 over hdmi what are your thoughts.
    Many thanks PC Nut
