Hi ive had my pioneer plasma for about 3months now and only noticed recently that the plasma keeps making these sudden noises every now and then. Its not the noises such as the buzz but its more like crackly pop sorta noises... its hard to describe but its sorta the noise like if u press hard down on the plastic areas of the keyboard... it makes the same sorta noise lol

does any get this noise at all or is it just me hearing things?

thank you in advance for the people who do try to help

Does it get a lot of sunlight on it.......?
If it does it could be the screen expanding and contracting, especially with all this hot weather we have had latley.

    User Instructions of Samsung-PS42S5H

The product is making a ‘cracking’ noise.
A ‘cracking’ noise may occur when the product contracts or expands due to a change of
surrounding environment such as temperature or humidity. This is normal and not a defect of the unit.

I'm sure you are not the 1st person to mention this noise, I think all Pio consumer models do it at least a bit. Your sky picture problem, I take it you've done all the usual, enable RGB on sky and plasma, turn off all noise reduction stuff?
