Pioneer PDP435FDE - Band at top & bottom of screen

Hi there,

I recieved my Pioneer plasma PDP435FDE plasma tv yesterday, and I am thrilled with the picture, but I have noticed that a band goes across the top of the screen, and across the bottom, you can still see the picture, but the colours inside the bands are lighter than the rest of the screen, so when I was watching golf, I was getting a two toned sky which is not very good.

I have tried everything to get rid of the bands, but to no avail. Has anyone got any suggestion, or should I take it back to the shop.

(I did get the plasma for £1635 purely because it was the display model, am I able to get a replacement if it is found to be faulty?)

Thanks, Lofty )

Sounds like the store have been running a movie on it in a loop, a widescreen cinema type.

Sounds like your screen is burnt, unlucky.

Thanks for all the comments,

Am I entitled to refund, beings it was an ex-display, they said it was the last one that dixons had. I took out an extended warranty as well it cost £500 for 5 years.

BUT THEY DID SAY THAT IF ANYTHING WENT WRONG, AND IT COULDN'T BE REPLACED, I WOULD BE ENTITLED TO THE LASTEST MODEL, THE PDP436FDE MMMMMMMM, INTERESTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

steer clear of dispay models i have seen screen burn on loads of pv500`s and they have only been running for about a week because people like dixons run them on very high picture settings
