For sale is my Pioneer PDP-LX5090 50 Inch Plasma.

I'm only selling as I stumbled upon at KRP-600m a little while ago and the 5090 has just been getting lonely in the back room.
It's in perfect condition, from a smoke-free home and is still an awesome TV, I just want it to go to its next home where it can be loved some more (hence the very low price).

I think I still have the original box/packaging as well, but even so, this will be a collection only item from Barnsley.

Price is a gift at £100 £75 £50
Any questions, please let me know.

Cheers

Macca

p.s. I've uploaded a photo from Christmas of the set running, but the quality is poor as the plasma was just in the background of the shot.

I'll dig through my camera roll, but in not sure I'll have any.

The TV is covered up in the spare room at the moment, so not the easiest to hook a blue ray up to.

I can assure you that it's in perfect condition. No dead pixels/screen burn etc and it's a calibrated PDP-5090 - PQ and black levels are only bettered by a KRP-500.

Cheers

Hi there,

Sure, you can test it as much as you want.
Always good to make sure that you're happy before parting with any cash.

I’m after a cheap tv as a temporary unit (had one of these before we had an OLED) it will just be playing HD stuff through it so more than sufficient I think.

I like just outside Stoke though, so it’s a fair journey to you. Is a courier option (as you still have the box) not an option?

It sounds perfect for you (I'm still running a 60 KRP as I can't find an OLED with motion handling that I can deal with).

I'm not sure about couriering, for £50 it's going to be more trouble than it's worth unfortunately...

Whereabouts are you (can you let me have your postcode so I can check the distance)?

Does it have the stand etc?

I've PM'd you the postcode.

It comes with a wall mount, but no stand.

Ahh that’s not ideal, I’d need a stand.

I’d be happy to pay a courier fee (depending on how much of course) the box should give an indication for the weight of the unit, could you go online and get a rough estimate for me please?

I've just had a couple of bad experiences with couriers over the last few months (UPS managed to destroy a £1000 espresso machine in its original box/packaging which was then wrapped in 3 layers of bubble wrap and placed inside another box). It then took 10 weeks to the the compensation sorted :(

For £50 it's genuinely not worth my time messing around getting it packed up and collected and I wouldn't fancy its chances actually making it to you still in one piece!

No probs, not sure whether it would fit in my car as plasmas need to be kept upright.

Finding a reasonably priced stand might be an issue though.
