Hi is the pioneer going to be compatible with SKY HDTV HDCP thingy? Also does this model suffer from the lip sync issue?

As is the 504 before it,this model,by virtue of being equipped with HDMI,along with the necessary HDCP,should have no problems with the proposed upcoming Sky HD service.

My 504 suffers very slightly with lip sync - not sure whether the 505 is any better.

Phew at least I know now that my huge expense will be a little bit more future proof.

I have not had any lip sync issues with my 505 model. Just a slight jagged edge on screen when watching Sky +. Other problems with mine see - http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168324
