Anyone purchased the PIONEER PDP-435FDETE, whats it like please.
i have a 435-xde, they are the same display panel but the fde doesnt have digital freeview built into the tuner box whereas the xde does.
trust me its an excellent picture... even better with a wireworld upgrade kit
dont just take someones word for it , go and demo it . you could even take your dvd player with you so you get a better idea of what it will be like when you take it home
Thanks for the reply.
I am off to have some demos this afternoon, of the Pioneer,Panny and this newly suggested Hitachi 6600.
By the time i have finished , the salesmen will want to give me one, just to get rid of me.
what's the wireworld upgrade kit?
This cable kit reaplcaes the MDR cable supplied with your Pioneer with a high quality set of Wireworld cables. It consists of two cables, a Wireworld DVI to DVI cable and a seperate control cable. 2M and 5M lengths are available using a Chroma DVI cable, the longer lengths require the higher quality Ultraviolet DVI cable.
In addition to improving performance over the out of the box cable, this kit allows you to have a much longer cable whilst achieving high quality.
Was looking at getting this cable - does it seriously improve the picture?
Think I saw it on HiFi Cables for £100 or so?
Just thought it may be better to invest the £100 you'd pay for the kit and get just a £100 DVI to DVI cable instead. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the second lead just for the purpose of controling the plasma? Not 100% sure so please don't shoot me down.
You're spot on Peter. Very good point!
yeh u could do that, i was given my wireworld kit as a free gift so i wasnt really fussed ... it is a major improvement over the standard cable , certainly makes the blacks blacker
Totally agree, the 435XDE is a stunning set, see my last post on ISF calibration section.
