OK don't laugh at me please...I bought an old Pioneer PDP503PE screen and media box on a boot sale, it had come out of a pub refurbishment and I figured for £20 it was worth a punt, the idea being I could put it in the kids room for the XBox.
Anyway the builders had cut the DVI/ MDR ( PDA H01) cable to get it off the wall and I've since learnt that they are not cheap or easily obtained.
I'm looking for some advice, ideas or expertise please, I've connected the power leads and both the box and the screen come on - if I buy a cable can I assume the system will work on this basis? Or should I just cut my losses?
Am I correct in thinking I can use a DVI cable and a separate MDR cable and if so does anyone know where I can get a 20 pin male to male MDR, it appears to be a rare thing indeed.
Thanks.

You can`t built your XBox to your old TV with such cables.
So, I think, I`m killing your hopes.

You're not killing my hopes - I knew I was taking a gamble and pretty much expected that I was wasting my time! I just needed the confirmation from people who are a bit more tech savvy than me.
Thanks for your reply.
