I've decided to go for a DVD-R/RW drive, most likely a Pioneer model. Which is better, the A04 or 104 and what's the differences between the two?

They are exactly the same physical drive, the 104 is the OEM bare drive, the A04 is the retail boxed version with software for authoring etc.
