At the moment ive got my Pioneer DVR-940Hs connected to my Pioneer PDP435XDE with an HDMI cable.
Problem is the audio optical output on the 435xde is not working. Now it does say in the manual that while in DTV mode,no signals are output if they are copy gaurded.
Wondering if someone could elabertate on why no matter what i play on the DVR player no sound comes through the optical output? or could the problem be the processor side?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Due to the HDMI copy protection regulations the optical out, 2-channel phono out and even the headphone out of the plasma will mute.

If you are using an amp connected to the TV via optical you will also need to connect the coax digital out of the DVR-940HX to a coax input on the amp and then select between the TV and DVR on the amp when you switch inputs on the TV.
