This was discussed a year ago, when I was buying Pioneer 434, but can't find threads now..

the media box has component and HDMI on input 3.

I currently have DVD, XBox, PS2 going to component via switch box

I seem to remember that if HDMI connected, the component doesn't work, ie one of the cables have to be pulled out!! :(

reason for the question, I was going to get new Sammy 850/950 fro HDMI connection, but not if I have to keep pulling out cables!!

Anybody have experience of this?? :lease:

It may be same with new Pio 435??

    Thanks

    Jai

Can you not select between the two inputs via a menu option ?

On the 434 component and HDMI are the same input (3). You will need to keep going into the Home Menu and disabling/enabling HDMI each time you switch between component sources and HDMI sources.
