    Hi folks,

I've noticed a few threads here, and elsewhere, which discuss getting the Pioneer Kuro remote control (mine's from a KRL-37V) to control other AV equipment.

It would be nice to get it to control my Sky (HD) box. It appears to have all the requisite knobs and buttons and has a little 'STB' light.

However - if this is possible, I am totally stumped how to do it.

Can anyone point me in the right way, or at least tell me to stop being stupid!

    Cheers,
    David.

Is the Sky box connected via HDMI? I know there is some way of controlling other equipment connected by HDMI, but I am not sure if this only extends to other Pioneer products. I don't believe the remote will control my DVD player, although I've not yet had time to go through all the settings yet.

It is indeed connected via HDMI, but I believe that control is only for other Pioneer products (Kuro link) or products which support some protocol or other (I guess).

I suppose I thought it might be able to 'learn' IR signals somehow, either by knocking in some codes or other, or manually making it so.

    Thanks,
    David.
