Bought six years ago for £850 from the original (av enthusiast) purchaser, an AVForums member aandpwoodley who had it ISF calibrated by AVForums member ********

Excellent condition. Comes with a Pioneer rotating stand, original remote and manual. No speakers.

No known issues with the tv. Fabulous picture quality (as you all know).

Gf wants 4K and HDR so reluctantly this has to go!

Hi Gary I am interested in but the one with speakers sold only for £180 recently

For Sale - Pioneer Kuro LX5090 Plasma

If you can match the same price I am happy to offer £180 even without speakers providing it's in excellent condition as your description and all ports, HDMI etc. are fully working.

    Cheers

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for the reply.

Possibly need to judge the price level a bit but can't see myself letting it go for that sort of price.

It's in excellent condition, fully working order, has a known history and has been ISF calibrated.

Was assuming that anyone who wanted a Kuro would have an AV amp so lack of speakers didn't factor in to the pricing to be honest.

    Hi.

No worries, thanks for letting me know and yes I do have a Sony amp so speakers wont be a problem, but do let me know if you change your mind.

    Cheers.

Had a quick look at the one that sold recently. It didn't have a stand (which is much more useful than speakers), had a broken power button on the remote (?) and wasn't ISF calibrated

Does seem that £400 is out of touch with current sale prices for comparable sets but on the other hand £180 would be giving it away.

The one I quoted did come with a never-used new stand and the speaker.

    Cheers.

Yes, but reading the thread the final £180 selling price was without the stand.

    Hi.

    I have just double checked it and found that;

On post #25 Deal agreed for TV, speaker and stand for £180
On post #30 someone else offered to buy only the stand separately
On post #35 the person who wanted the stand withdrew interest
On post #36 the buyer of the package confirmed that they did need the stand in the end.

Everything went for £180 to the same buyer, including the TV, stand and speaker.

    Cheers.

    Wow.

    Overwhelming response - lol

If this is the now the market price for 50" Kuro then I'll keep it as a second-room tv instead :)

I bought one recently on here with a stand, speaker bar and only 9k hrs on the clock for £225, amazing value for this money if you're not bothered about 4k

Well the 55" 4k HDR OLED is on it's way so rather than give the Kuro away (bargain for the buyer as you say) it'll go into the man-cave or maybe the driving-sim rig room.

I paid £190 for mine about a year ago. No stand, but ISF calibrated. They're not going for much now. This one recently sold for £87 on eBay: LG 50PS3000 50" 1080p HD Plasma Television | eBay

And this one sold for £110: Pioneer PDP-LX5090 50" 1080p full HD Plasma Television 4977729871449 | eBay

It's great for buyers who want a nice TV on a budget, but not for sellers haha :)

And Kuros are remarkably resistant to screen-burn, and that's an area I feel OLEDs still need some work. So a Kuro might actually be better than a OLED for some people (heavy gamers etc).
