Hi I have an older KEH-8200 head unit which works perfectly except that the display is very dim lit (maybe a backlight problem ??) would anyone have any ideas please before I need to change the unit  I did hear there is a dimmer in the menu but I've checked everywhere inc the manual, but nothing - Thanks for any help

Is the display dim at night as well as day? Don't know this model but there's probably a feed from the light switch to dim at night. Maybe this is permanently on via a short or mis-wiring.

I also have an old Pioneer, KEH???? can't remember the model number. The display suddenly whent dim one day about 5 years ago - No dimmer in my functions menu. Sounds like they have bad backlights then.
