Just bought a pioneer freeview box. Connected it up to my tv via scart and put my rf aerial into the back of it. It searches for channels and finds none? It gets nothing on the signal strenth test, yet the aerial worksfine in my tv.

Do I still need to have the gold card slotted into the front of it?

Also, when checking the subscription it says ended november 2002? Do I need a new card?

    Thanks in advance.

No you dont need a Card, What model number is your Pioneer STB

Have you enterted your postcode on any of the various websites to see if DTT is in your area?

According to dtg, it is. On the signal strength meter is ge6ts nothing, but I still get channels 1-5 on channels 1-5 on my tv when the rf cable is passing through the pioneer.

    Model is dbr t210 gbs

sounds like it might be an aerial upgrade needed. best bet is to call a local specialist and explain the situ and get a quote to fix it.
How old is your aerial? if its more than 5-10 yr old it probably wont work.
