I've contacted Pioneer and basically they said they don't intend to update the bot to support the 7 day EPG. They did however say they would listen to complaints thus call them up if you own one of these boxes and register a complaint with them !!! Call Pioneer on 01753 789500.

My experience of Pioneer's response to customer disatisfaction is firmly from the school of "We've had your money, so you can :censored: off!" That was with nearly a grands worth of ICE so I wouldn't be too hopeful in your case.

This is hugely dissapointing from Pioneer. The 7 day epg is a major plus to freeview users and works ver well. I had a Panasonic TUCT30 which was supposed to work with it but didn't. So, I've just swapped it for a Sony 800 which works supremely well in all respects and I'm highly delighted with it. It's the stb that sets the standard imho and anyone looking to buy an stb would be very wise to invest in this one.

Agreed. People are put off by the price - but it's worth it IMHO for the ultra quick menus and full 7 day EPG support.

£82 from Amazon with free delivery. Bargain at that price.

Wish I'd bought the Sony box now. Everything works, its quick and Sony have done several updates already.

Just rang Pioneer on that number and basically they said that....

"We are waiting for a response from their technical dept as to whether the 7 day epg upgrade is doable.
We have NOT dismissed it but at this stage can't say whether it will or will not be possible in the near future. Best thing to do is ring back every couple of weeks."

So don't throw out you Pionner stbs just yet!

"We are pleased to announce that the electronic programme guide on the set top box model DBR-TF100GB, currently with now and next information only, will be upgraded to an extended electronic programme guide.

Pioneer is in the process of developing the relevant software and it is proposed the upgrade will take place by over-the-air download in due course. At this stage, it is not possible to be more definitive as to when the upgrade will take effect or to provide more details on the specification of the extended electronic programme guide.

Please note this upgrade is only applicable to model DBR-TF100GB."
