Is the PQ/record quality from the DVR5100 better than the current range of Pioneer recorders which two magazines have slated (rubbish tuner and recording, poor DVD playback)?

Can't vouch for the new recorders, but the 5100 gives excellent results. Its analogue tuner also received a slating but I only record from digital sources which are superb, even in s-video,as the 5100 has no RGB input. The 5100 is out for about £469 multiregion-bargain of the year
