Pioneer Dvr 940hx-s - Unable To Copy Ntsc Dvd-r To Hdd

Hi all,

I have a pioneer dvr 940HX-S and and trying to copy a NTSC DVD-R to the HDD for editing out adverts of a American TV series.

When I try I get the following message-

TV SYSTEM SETTING OF RECORDER AND DISC DO NOT MATCH - CANNOT COPY -
How do I get around this?

Is the DVD a regular 'non copyrighted' disk and have you set the input line system of the DVD recorder up corectly? RTM

It is a non copy protected disc, a friend copied stuff from a tv chanel to a DVD-R.

What do you mean by "set the input line system of the DVD recorder up corectly"?
