Pioneer DVR 530 H - recording NTSC signals

I have a Pioneer DVR 530 H and would like to record all my NTSC tapes to DVD.

Whilst it starts to recognise the signal from a video recorder it then cuts out and shows an error message about an incompatible signal. I guess its fixed in some way not to accept the NTSC input.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

go into initial set up and change the input from 625 to 525 lines

Thanks for the suggestion - it works ............

The next problem is that some of my tapes are (I have now discovered) copy protected. Apart from buying them on DVD is there any workaround that anyone knows of?

Tom

I don't believe we're allowed to discuss methods of defeating copy protection, but if one were to say type Macrovision into Google you never know what might come up.
