Purchased the 5100 recently works fine, apart from the backing up option, the manual states it will allow once only copies of CPRM material. All the discs I've tried cannot be copied, is CPRM not used on many DVDs now? or am I missing something.

    Hi

CPRM is not the same thing as normal DVD Videos, it is not used on normal DVD Videos, they have a different form of copy protection.

CPRM is sent/turned on by the broadcaster and is designed for copyrighting TV material sent via satellite, cable or aerial.

Normal DVD Videos can not be copied on the Pioneer 5100, the same goes for any DVD Recorder.

    Regards

    Philip
