    Hi

I am currently experiencing a problem when attempting to record TV onto a DVD via 'TIMER RECORD'.
When inputting you are given the option to record either by 'DVD or HDD'. But despite choosing the 'DVD' option , and double checking, the item records onto 'HDD'. I then have to rush and record onto 'DVD' manually which defeats the object of using timer.
Has anyone else had the same problem or am I doing something stupid?

    Chers.

    There are a few possibilities.
    1. The length of the program may be too great for the recording mode that is set (e.g SP). You need to set a different mode or use Auto - page 49 in manual. Also see Note on page 52 about Optimized
    2. I don't think you can record to DVD if you are using PDC - but I can't find the note in the manual.
    3. Is Lock Disk 'On' - page 92?

Pioneer's Tech Help is very good - Pioneer UK phone number is 01753 789 789

See the reply over on your post on digitalspy.

HDD light illuminates but the recording is being made on the DVD - not the hard disk.
