    Hi,

I'm considering getting a Pioneer DVR-220 primarily because it has RGB capability, something which is important to me as I intend to record from Sky+ which hous lousy composite.

The Sky+ only outputs RGB on the TV out, not the VCR out. I therefore would need to take the TV out of the Sky+ to the DVR-220 and the other scart from the DVR-220 to my TV.

However, I downloaded the manual from the Pioneer website and it seems to suggest that loop through is disabled automatically everytime it records (p46 on the version VRB1335 of the manual).

Does anyone know if I've got this wrong or what ? All I need to do is watch and record Sky+ with RGB connections, not composite. I'm not convinced this machine will do it.

    Cheers,

    John

    Hi

This is correct, although there should be an option to switch the SCARTS back to through mode when recording starts, also achieved by switching between DVD and TV modes.

    Regards
