    Good afternon all.

I have just ordered myself a new PC (from Mesh Computers), which comes with a Pioneer 116 DVD ROM.

I have been to several sites and down loaded seveal bits of software, but has any one made their DVD-ROM Multi Region (and RCE minus)?

    Any help/advice most appreciated.

    Adrian

    Hi

I made my 116 multiregional by flashing it with the 1.22 RPC-1 firmware at the site http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/dvd/dvdfi.htm
Scroll for this part of the page :

    Pioneer DVD-116 (IDE 16X/40X) 1.09, 1.22 - List of changes / 1.21 (for drives in NEC/Packardbell computers only)
    (Known firmware : 1.07 / 1.09 / 1.22)
Flash utilties for Windows are now available FUPW2K for win2K and WinXP, FUPW9X for Win9X.
A patched region free version 1.22 RPC-1 is available. Patch by Mr.Kirill.
    RPC-2

Click on the link for 1.22 RPC-1
This will download a zipped file onto your hard disk
Unzip the file (onto the root directory of your hard disk (C:) and open and print the README file. It explains the rest.

There is a link for flashing the 116 in Windows but I haven't tried it.

Then download DVDGenie and you're laughing

    Conor
