    Hi

Bought this player recently, which isn't multi region!
    Downloaded DVD region killer.
When I run region killers' check drives utility it states thet my CD player is region free but my DVD is not?
What the heck do I do next?
Does this mean that it can't be multi region?

    Any help appreciated.

You need more than DVD Region Killer I'm afraid. That just automatically sets your drive's region each time you load up a DVD. You could do it yourself manually by picking the region each time, DVD Region Killer just makes it easier by doing it automatically.

You need to make your Pioneer's firmware region free by going here and downloading the RPC1 firmware (if available yet)

    http://www.firmware-flash.com/

Alternatively, you might want to try http://www.dvdidle.com/ which supposedly avoids the need for a firmware upgrade.

    Cheers Bud..
Looks like there is no firmware yet for this player.
I am evaluating DVDIDLE...which seems to work a treat.

That's good to know. I know of at least one other forum member that has reported success with it too. :)
