With my old DK Divx 339 all items on a disc be it cdr or dvdr where displayed.

With my new Pioneer DV470 I noticed that Divx and JPG/MP3 are displayed seperately so you cant list them all at the same time and I didnt think this was so bad until I noticed that some files on my discs which were displayed on my old DK Divx 339 were not listed on the file list on the DV470.

Does anyone know why the Pioneer does not display all files as I have a few dvdrs that contain TV shows and most if not all of them are missing some of the episodes but the episodes showed up on my old DVD player and they so up on my computer and I find this very annoying as the whole point of getting a Divx capable player was so I could watch Divx content from a DVDr and this isnt always possible with the Pioneer.

So your saying it only list some files on the disc not all ? Then no I don't have that problem on my 470.

Have you got firmware 2.09 running on your 470 ?

What the the file extensions of the missing files ? Or are they all .avi ?

Thats exactly it, on my last player it would list every file on the disc, even files it couldnt play like quicktime trailers but when I check my discs now on the DV470 it wont even list all the .avi or .mp3 files I have on the disc.

As for the firmware, it states I am running ROM Version 1.44

You don't happen to have more than 648 items on the DVD?
I think the total number of files and folders (max 299) combined is 648.
After that, it will not display any files.

Nope, in most cases I have between 10 and 12 avi files on the disc, that is it.

Do you want to update to firmware 2.09 ? it fixes some things, adds new features and is much improved. Private message me your email addess. Its about 1mb, just burn to cd and update. This is not a hacked firmware, its a copy of the official Pioneer one. It won't effect if your machine is multi-region.
