Has anyone bought the 757 from Techtroncis with the Enterprise+ mod? It claims to provide PAL progressive.
I'm interested in this player and wondered if anyone had any experiences (good or bad) with this mod

Rumour has it that Pioneer will be introducing the PAL progresive mod free of charge - you'll just have to pay return postage I think.

But I also heard that Pioneer won't do it if your player is modded?
I guess I could buy a standard 757, get the Pioneer upgrade, and then get it modded.

Any idea on when the official Pioneer upgrade is due?

I see - that could be a problem. I think the upgrade is happening in a couple of months, so it might be best to wait until it's officialy available, and then ask a Pioneer rep what their standing is with modded players. Is yours chipped or handset hacked (but not via the Pio handset IIRC)?

The upgrade will revert the machine to Region 2 I think, or at least, that's what the info seemed to say, which means it'll have to be modded to MR again.

I'm not sure of all the details, as they seem to be coming from 3rd parties, so waiting till more definate info is available might be a good idea.

I have heard that Techtronics after sales isn't very good, so it might be an idea to give them a miss anyway.

    Gary.

Right now I don't have one, so I guess I could wait until Pioneer start shipping palyers that do PAL/NTSC prog right out of the box, and then get Techtronics to sell me a modded version of that (which presumably will be cheaper too, as you're not paying them to do the PAL mod for you). But that means waiting, and who wants to wait when there's technology to be purchased?!?!?

pioneer dvd players don't need a mod to get multiregion, only a factory remote...
