I recently bought the Pioneer DV-646A.
I wanted to listen to the new DVD-Audio. I am glad i bought it.
    What a difference.
I don't care if it goes way beyond our listening capabilities. A fact is that it sounds so much better and spacious. It is really a new experience.
About the DVD Video capability. It is also excelent. Very good indeed. But :( , always this word... I want to view material from other region than the region 2 and this Pionner is not multiregion.
I wouldn't like to throw away the DVD Audio capability by buying another dvd with multiregion access.
    So what can i do?
Can i change it for myself? Or is there any device in the market that can suit this purpose?
I also wouldn't like to send the dvd player to any shop. I prefer to do it, if possible, by myself.

    Keep those Hertz flowing :D

take it to a specialist home cinema shop and have them modify it. I haven't got a clue about doing it yourself which either involves flashing the firmware or an actual hardware modification, but that would without doubt invalid your manufacturer warranty.
Get someone to do it for you, they should then give you a warranty.
