I need to get a new DVD and dont want to splash out too much money for it.

The Pioneer DV-575A meets all my demands, but, my question is shall i wait for the pioneers new range now, or just purchase this. :lease:

i dont want the hassle of taking it back because it flickers, poor dvd-a, poor sacd.

At the moment it will be connected via svideo, and maybe component when i can afford the component card and cables for my plasma and a RGB scart to component for my sky box.

Thanks

Don't forget its replacement will probably also have its faults. Probably be even worse made but only retail for about £79! Maybe it will lose the LED display but increase divx compatibility etc. While functionality for the money is improving all the time actual build quality gets worse and worse. I don't mean its necessarily less reliable it just looks real plasticky and is flimsy. When ever you buy now or later a more advanced model will come after it. You could delay buying a dvd player for ever by reasoning to yourself that a better model will be available later.
