I was woundering if some could advise me on how to hack the Pioneer DV-565A to run multi-region disks.

I belive this can been done by using the remote or a pronto remote data file.

    Thanks

    Luke

I've been told the hack is the same across the whole of the Pio range. Not sure what the hack is bit it might help :)

av-land are selling me a hacked one at no extra cost.

Are Pio doing handset based hacks now?? as previously they were all Firmware or hardware mods required to make em mult-region

eg my 525 had a firmware mod to it for MR, whilst others had multimod mods done.

    just wondering

    cheers

It has the chip but it code needs to be unlocked - I'll pop into the dealer as I know they have the pronto commands - they did it to my bro's 303 about 3months ago

You could try sending the following from a Pronto or other programmable remote.

Don't know if this will work on the latest generation or players or not. Fortunately my older pio was already multi region so have been unable to verify that this code is completely correct personally.

hope it does the trick for you though.

mseabroo, tried your suggestion via pronto to my 565, and it worked a treat, tried region 1, 2, 3 and 4 disks and they all worked perfectly.

    Cheers!!
