pioneer divx files can i copy help please

Established Member
I was thinking of buying a pioneer divx dvd player but will it allow me to copy the divx files on to my sony dvd recorder as a normal dvd recording not a divx recording so that i can play on any dvd player, i know my bush divx player allows me to do this. thanks

Theoretically, anything which outputs a standard video image can be recorded by your Sony DVDR [ provided it is not copy protected ]
The type of coding of the source is irrelevant as the player is decoding it.

- So - Yes.
