I listen to a lot of music on the move, so have nearly always had an aftermarket Cd player in my car. I recently purchased the abovementioned unit, due to its MP3 capability. I have got it wired in, but recently, it has been problematic. First, I put the face in and nothing at all would work. Finally with a bit of fiddling, it worked fine. Then the next day, the rotary knob would work, i.e. it wouldn't let me skip tracks forward. Now it works fine, but the display background goes blue, then goes back to normal. Is it me not putting the face in properly, or does this unit have a history of problems with the motorised faceplate? I have tried cleaning the contacts, but to no avail.

if you turn the unit off then press and hold 5 it will take it off the "reverse demo mode". ithink this is what you are describing if so it explains it all in the instruction manual
