I heard a DVD-A disc today for the first time and have to say I was very impressed by the clarity and range - much better than a CD :)

I have a Pioneer DCS-424 amp/player combo with surround speaker pack at home and just need some clarification on the compatability. The manual doesn't mention DVD-A but states it is compatible with 24-bit/96khz DAC and high sampling rate discs.

Can anybody clarify before I go out and buy a DVD-A disc if this system will be able to play it properly?

    Thanks

    Dempsey
