    Hi,

I connected my Pioneer BDR-209EBK to my PC using a SATA to USB 3.0 adapter. It seems to be working fine. But I cannot update the firmware or use the utility provided by Pioneer. It says 'Target not found'. I guess it can't see the drive through the adapter. My computer is a mini PC so it doesn't have SATA ports. Is there a work around for this? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Thanks. I could do this as a last resort. There is a mSATA port occupied with a non system disc which I could remove for performing the firmware update. But I need to purchase the adaptor and figure out a way to power the optical drive.

Actually I was hoping for a software tweak that doesn't cost any money:)
