Having recently purchased a Parasound 1205 I now only use the preamp section of the AX5 and would love to buy a Naim AV2 as I use Naim for stereo duties. The AX5 was only purchased in Feb 2004 and guaranteed through to Feb 2005.

I need to sell the AX5 to fund the AV2 but have no idea what to ask as I cannot find a second hand one for sale anywhere.

    Any ideas?

so how does it sound as a processor only? I'm guessing pretty good but that its not perfect as you have the upgrade bug already :)

I have the A52 poweramp and am thinking about getting a 3805/Ax5 instead of the C2 as its a lot cheaper....I'm kind of hanging out for the promised C2 upgrades as well though.....

It sounds absolutely fine as a processor.

My problem was I looked at this superbly built battleship of a receiver and realised I wasn't using half of what it was capable of, or indeed I paid for. The power section was completely idle.

It was this aspect which seemed wrong and unbalanced and drove me to reallocate funds.

I originally had an Arcam AV100 and the Pioneer was much better as an AV receiver.
